Every Person's Now An Island
Gary Deatherage, April 18, 2020
1. In this time of isolation
People sitting staring at the wall
In every home in every nation
They listen to see when and where death calls.;t
You can catch it but you can't run away
You can't know where it's hiding
And even if you can keep it at bauy
You know it's time it's biding.
It's managed to shut the whole world down in record time
Every person's now an island on their own
Every last one of them feel that "I'm not to blame".
It's all been thrust upon them, their world view blown.
2. In this time of our reflection
When we don't know what to feel
Movement stopped in all directions
With only time and hope to help us heal.
You can catch it but you can't run away
You can't know where it's hiding
And even if you can keep it at bay
You know it't time it's biding.
It's managed to shut the whole world down in record time
Every person's now an island on their own
Every last one of them feel that "I'm not to blame".
It's all been thrust upon them, their world view blown.
It's all been thrust upon them, their world view blown.

"Grab Your Mask"
Gary Deatherage
April 7, 2020
1.
Everybody's watching their TV's sitting at home
Contemplating their futures, maybe alone
Seeing their old word evaporate,
So many known ways gone
Realities shift and quake
No clear ways to move on
To the future that you planned just yesterday
Some virus wrecked it and took it all away
So you better grab your mask and your sanitizer
And always be alone
If you want to be a survivor
You can onluy talk on the phone.
2.
Everybody's ordering take-out with delivery,
Charging it on the phone is how it always be
Seeing their old word evaporate,
So many known ways gone
Realities shift and quake
No clear ways to move on
To the future that you planned just yesterday
Some virus wrecked it and took it all away
So you better grab your mask and your sanitizer
And always be alone
And if you want to be a survivor
You can only talk on the phone
On the phone
On the phone.

The Great Downdumbing
Gary Deatherage
January 28, 2020
1 He's a funny, funny man with a silly, silly tan
His sculpted hair defies all gravity
A Bunny loving man, whose willy they say ran
The gamut to the worst depravity
Ch He's all incompetence and third rate evil
Less mental power than a brain dead weevil
Thinks he moves us toward the second coming
Proudly leading in the Great Downdumbing.
Break
2 He's gotta go for the world to get sane
Let us clean up and start a new game
With real rules and not just fools,
We've got to stop being their cheap-assed tools.
Ch He's all incompetence and third rate evil
Less mental power than a brain dead weevil,
Thinks he moves us toward the second coming,
Proudly leading in the Great Downdumbing.
End And his sculpted hair dfies all gravity.

Keep On Wanting
Gary Deatherage
1 We all knock on Mother Nature's Door
Every day for all the things we need
Many keep on wanting more and more
When she has so many mouths to feed.
Chorus
And when they can't get enough things can get rough
From their demands
And when they can't get their stuff their lives feel so tough and
Out of their hands
We thought humans came and humans went forever
We thought the big things could never change,
We believed wee were clever
Would not let ourselves get deranged
Even ruin the weather,
But we did.
2 We cannot alll ee eye to eye
Or pull together just one way
Instead we worhip things we buy
And miss so much life along the way.
And when we can't get enough things can get rough
From our demands
And when they can't get their stuff life feels fo rough and
Out of our hands
We thought humans came and humans went forever
We thought the big things could never change,
We believed wee were clever
Would not let ourselves get deranged
Even ruin the weather,
But we did.

Here Come Some Men
Gary Deatherage
1 We have been waiting to see the last of you,
To know it was the end, that we had all pulled through.
Like a baby wrecking everything,
They had to drag you out and put you in your swing.
Chorus - You could not learn, but only yearn for more,
You could not give and thus not live or soar.
We've had enough can't handle any more
Here come some men to show you out the door.
We've had enough can't handle any more
Here come some men to show you out the door.
2 So, can the world begin to relax.
Learn to change, to handle basic facts?
Or will we drag ourselves down low again.
Led by greed and need, and fail to use our brains?
Chorus - We could not learn, but only yearn for more,
We could not give and thus not live or soar.
We've had enough can't handle any more
Here come some men to show you out the door.
We've had enough can't handle any more
Here come some men to show you out the door.
We've had enough can't handle any more
Here come some men to show you out the door.
We've had enough can't handle any more
Here come some men to show you out the door.
We've had enough can't handle any more
Here come some men to show you out the door.
We've had enough can't handle any more
Here come some men to show you out the door.

Trumped
Gary Deatherage
1
Evolution's taking its time
Meanwhile today I feel like I'm
Caught in the middle of a sad affair
Where we first get Trumped
And then we all get humped.
While everybody sleeps, nazism creeps toward the door
And just a few get richer, everybody else stays poor.
2
Russia ran the whole dammed election,
Stirred some deep, untapped affection
Caused trouble in this sad affair,
Where we first get Trumped
And then we all get humped.
While everybody sleeping, Nazism's creeping toward the door,
And just a few get richer whole everyone else stays poor.
3
Where can we hide, where can we find cover.
Until this whole damned nightmare's over?
How can we end this sad affair,
Where we first get Trumped
And then we all get humped?
While everybody sleeps, Nazism creeps toward the door
Just a few get richer, and everybody else stays poor.
.
While everybody's sleeping and Nazism's creeping toward the door
And just a few get richer, and everybody else stays poor.

They Are Very Happy 2020
Gary Deatherage
1.
Some want to shift our reality into something crazy.
They don't' care what it will be, 'cause they're so lazy.
They don't want to think, and they don't want to shop around.
They are very happy with the philosophy they've found.
2.
One has to wonder how so many people can be so misled.
How they can believe, give credence, to the lies they're fed.
They don't want to think, and they don't want to shop around.
They are very happy with the philosophy they've found.
They don't want to think, and they don't want to shop around.
They are very happy with the philosophy they've found.

Whatever We Do
Gary Deatherage
1.
We all keep watching as the world keeps passing by.
Some want to join in, while others just get high.
Some want to run and hide, while others go to war,
But whatever we do, we never get too far,
Whatever we do, we never get too far.
Because everybody wants to get what's mine,
No matter what the trouble down the line.
2.
As generations pass and little seems to change,
The people and the nations find each other strange.
They send out hate-filled thoughts and missiles from above,
Even when the solution was love,
Even when the solution was love.
Because everybody wants to get what's mine.
No matter what the trouble down the line.
Because everybody wants to get what's mine.
No matter what the trouble down the line.
