Find Some Liberation
Gary Deatherage
1
When you feel things slipping away into a situation,
Then you realize you may resist their ideation
And if you don't resist, their forces have bought your soul,
And no matter what you'll never again be whole.
We've got to learn how we created this situation
And only then can we find some liberation.
2
While we use and torment the Earth, she just asks our blessing,
While she struggles to survive without us ever confessing,
That if we don't resist, their forces have bought our souls,
And no matter what you'll never ever again be whole.
We've got to learn how we created this situation
And only then can we find some liberation.
We've got to learn how we created this situation
And only then can we find some liberation.

Little World
Gary Deatherage
1
This rain, it seems so cold,
And once again I can't do what I'm told,
To get in line and check my judgement at the door,
No longer see the troubles of the poor,
Clutching their few possessions, sinking lower.
They want me to live in a little world of my own,
And only know people through video, text, and phone.
2
The gap grows wider, more get left behind,
Survival's tighter, water's even hard to find,
No job, no money, scared, and running almost blind,
Forced to live in a little world of their owns,
No car, no video, no food, no text, no phone
They've walked into the trap
Set by those in the lap of riches,
And now there's no escape,
They're caught unless it switches

The Deeper Parts
Gary Deatherage
1
Sometimes music feels and heals,
And sometimes music stings,
Sometimes music prays and heals,
And always music sings
To the deeper parts, the deeper parts of being,
Where we live so far below, where we cannot fully know
Without music.
Without music,
Without music,
Without music.
2
In the deeper parts of us,
We are all the same,
But we cannot recognize it,
Inside our tribal brains.
In the deeper parts, the deeper parts of being,
Where we live so far below, where we cannot fully know
Without music.
Without music,
Without music,
3
Many people could live here,
Without hate and war,
But can they save their planet,
Or have they gone too far?
From the deeper parts, the deeper parts of being,
Where we live so far below, where we cannot fully know,
Without music.
Without music,
Without music.
Without music,
Without music.
Without music,
Without music.

In The Zone Of Danger
Gary Deatherage
1
Will we find a real solution,
Thus, avoid a revolution?
Caused by problems from the past,
A paradise that could not last.
But it seems solutions take some time,
Even when good answers are in sight,
Because people's desires must combine,
To create a future that looks bright.
We need to get ourselves together, right away,
We're in the zone of danger every day,
Blindly stumbling through this life, we live,
Never learning what we have to give.
2
Could all the answers come our way,
Lead us to the real solution,
Settle debts we have to pay,
And thus. reverse our diminution?
But it seems solutions take some time,
Even when good answers are in sight,
Because people's desires must combine,
To create a future that looks bright.
We need to get ourselves together, right away,
We're in the zone of danger every day,
Blindly stumbling through this life, we live,
Never learning what we have to give.
We're in the zone of danger every day,
We're in here every day.
We're in the zone of danger,
And I fear we'll have to stay.

It's Fire
Gary Deatherage
1
Way before Methuselah, and just before the Garden,
There was only thought and desire,
And thus, no need to pardon,
And thus, no need to pardon.
And since that day we've come so far,
At least within our minds,
We learned to thrive on hate and war,
And left little love to find,
We left little love to find.
2
So now, in this present moment.
Which we think is all ours,
We don't see how our beliefs
Can rob us of our powers,
Can rob us of our powers.
And since that day we've come so far,
At least within our minds,
We learned to thrive on hate and war,
And left little love to find,
We left little love to find.,
We left little love to find.

Where We're Bound
Gary Deatherage
1
I've been thinking 'bout history
And the way it goes,
Though we can't see the mystery,
We can feel how time flows.
While we're sitting on this planet
We cannot find the beat,
But we must keep trying
As Earth turns up the heat.
2
Looking back through history
We can see how we tried,
To escape the misery
We sometimes had to hide.
While we're sitting on this planet
We cannot find the beat,
But we must keep trying
As Earth turns up the heat.
3
If I look far up ahead
To see where we're bound,
Where we're going is where we're led,
Burt the end can't be found.
While we're sitting on this planet
We cannot find the beat,
But we must keep trying
As Earth turns up the heat.
Sitting on this planet
We cannot find the beat,
But we must keep trying
As Earth turns up the heat.

Let's All Take A Little More Time
Gary Deatherage
1
Let's all take a little more a little more time
Before we take the actions, to get our satisfactions
We need to take a little more time
When we're too impulsive, our actions get repulsive,
So, let's all take a little more time.
It's best to sit back in your easy chair and begin to relax,
Don't try to figure out what's fiction or what's facts
Because it changes, it's re-arranges, and again changes.
It changes, it's r-earranges, then again changes
2
Let's all take a little more a little more time
This time we need to get it right, maybe wake up and see some light,
And then we'll take a little more time.

Big Blue Ball
Gary Deatherage
1
I was walking up on Kootenay Lake,
I was thinking about my life,
All the years, the hopes and fears,
My children and my wife.
And what I saw in the rearview mirror,
I wouldn’t change at all.
I'm just staying in the moment,
Living on this big blue ball.
We're living on a big blue ball,
We're living on a big blue ball,
We're living on a big blue ball,
We're living on a big blue ball.
2
What the future holds for us,
Depends on what we think,
What we believe, how we act,
It happens in a blink.
You must see it when it happens
Or miss the whole damned thing,
While you're sittin' in your corner
Waiting for the phone to ring.
We're living on a big blue ball,
We're living on a big blue ball,
We're living on a big blue ball,
We're living on a big blue ball.

Here Come Some Men
Gary Deatherage
1
We have been waiting to see the last of you,
To know it was the end, that we had all pulled through.
Like a baby, wrecking everything,
They had to drag you out and put you in your swing,
You did not learn, but only yearned for more,
You could not give, and thus not live or soar.
We've had enough, can't handle anymore,
Here come some men to show you out the door
We've had enough, can't handle anymore,
Here come some men to show you out the door
2
So, can the world begin to relax,
Learn to think, to handle basic facts,
Or will we drag ourselves down low again,
Led by greed and need we failed to use our brains?
We could not learn, but only yearned for more,
You could not give, and thus not live or soar.
We've had enough, can't handle anymore,
Here come some men to show you out the door.
We've had enough, can't handle anymore,
Here come some men to show you out the door.
We've had enough, can't handle anymore,
Here come some men to show you out the door.
We've had enough, can't handle anymore,
Here come some men to show you out the door.
We've had enough, can't handle anymore,
Here come some men to show you out the door.

It's One Minute To Midnight
Gary Deatherage
1
It's one minute to midnight,
Then we start a brand-new day.
No one knows what that will mean,
But it will be a new way.
We'll see things in a different light,
We won't see all the same,
Some will go left and some will go right,
Each to play a different game.
2.
It's one minute to midnight,
Then we go our separate ways.
Everyone follows their own path
To find where their truth lays.
We'll see things in a different light,
We won't see all the same,
Some will go left and some will go right,
Each to play a different game.
It's one minute to midnight,
Then we start a brand-new day.
It's one minute to midnight,
Then we start a brand-new day.

Perhaps There Is No Answer
Gary Deatherage
1
When I've lived a million years
And watched the world go 'round,
Always feeling, listening to
Our Earth's fine sounds,
And when I've shed a billion tears
And still not ever found,
The answers to just where it is we're bound.
Perhaps there is not answer, even though we've tried,
And so we must keep looking, never hide
2
Though I've felt the feelings of
Deep darkness and despair,
I've also learned I do not have to
Dwell there.
For I have seen there's also
Joy and love and song.
And that we have the strength to right each wrong.
Perhaps there is no answer, even though we've tried,
And so we must keep looking, never hide.
Perhaps there is not answer, even though we've tried,
And so we must keep looking, never hide.

Drifting Out
Gary Deatherage
1
My fellow citizens can you wake up,
Forget the TV and your make-up?
This world is sliding downhill fast,
Your future's not much like your past.
Your drifting out from the light,
Is making our minds as dark as night,
By turning away from the teachings that say,
Love and compassion are the way.
2
Control or be controlled is our main choice,
How can these billions find their right voice,
That brings them to plenty and to peace,
Help all our fear and anger release.
Drifting out from the light,
Is making our minds as dark as night,
By turning away from the teachings that say,
Love and compassion are the way.
My fellow citizens can you wake up?

Done It All
Gary Deatherage
Live @ The Venue
1
She said, I'm old, I'm feeling tired,
I don't get out anymore,
Can't use years to count my birthdays,
Now I measure by the score.
I've lived long enough to see the whole world change,
Many times not always for the good,
Feels like I've done it all, I've seen the entire range,
From what I know, to should, to wish I could.
2
All my children moved away and left me,
So, I don't see them anymore,
They all say that they are far too busy,
And their new life's so much more,
I've lived long enough to see the whole world change,
Many times not always for the good,
Feels like I've done it all, I've seen the entire range,
From what I know to should to wish I could.
From what I know to should to wish I could.
