Too Berserk 03:26
Too Berserk Gary Deatherage 1 Take a plane and make it fast Let this be the last of you We can forget all the past All the good and bad times, too We'll just say that things don't work Got too crazy, too berserk Had to go our separate ways Put back sanity in our days. 2 When you go please don't look back Don't try to see me Continue on your track That leads away from me We'll just say that things don't work Got too crazy, too berserk Had to go our separate ways Put back sanity in our days. 3 Take a plane and make it fast Let this be the last of you We can forget all the past All the good and bad times, too We'll just say that things don't work Got too crazy, too berserk Had to go our separate ways Put back sanity in our days.

Dark Psychic Fence\ Gary Deatherage 1 The world was born in a strange way On a long and cloudy day After a time things got bright But all the time something was not right It's been the same damned crazy place ever since And so we're still behind a dark psychic fence. 2 And so we played some strange tunes While we stared at cold full moons And wondered what could be out there Is this life going anywhere? It's been the same damned crazy place ever since And so we're still behind a dark psychic fence. The world was born in a strange way On a long and cloudy day After a time things got bright But all the time something was not right It's been the same damned crazy place ever since And so we're still behind a dark psychic fence. Do Songs Come From The Mins? Gary Deatherage 1 Do songs come from the mind, or do they float out there Waiting to be found and brought into the air To enter the Creation and release what's bound? Are there figments, are there pigments on the canvas of time Is there meaning, are they leaning, do they have to rhyme? Sailing on the rhythms and the time the verses flow It's the one way to know. Sailing on the rhythms and the time the verses flow It's the one way to know. 2 Poetry, or music maybe not either one But when it happens the ego's gone. I'm living in the suburbs commuting to the City of Light I'm driving full throttle down the middle of the road of life. I'm living in the suburbs commuting to the City of Light I'm driving full throttle down the middle of the road Of this good old life.

A Wild And Strormy Lie Gary Deatherage 1 Your spirit, my spirit, their sprits, too Could soar, could sink, like spirits do. Caught in the winds of a wild and stormy life Minding the tiller through peace and through the the strife, Controlling what we do, it's not so easy to get through Controlling what we do, it's not so easy to get through. 2 We struggle, we strive, we pick and choose 2Can't make it, can't move, we pay our dues. Caught in the winds of a wild and stormy life Minding the tiller through peace and through the the strife, Controlling what we do, it's not so easy to get through Controlling what we do, it's not so easy to get through Get through, get through.

Just Be Cool 03:02
Just Be Cool Gary Deatherage 1 Nothing's clear when you look through fear To see on through Some things dear just disappear And some leave you And the boogie man reaches out his hand To capture a fool Will you run away pretend to pray Or just be cool. 2 Every day in a thousand ways We feel the strap And every year you feel it near until you snap And the boogie man reaches out his hand To capture a fool Will you run away pretend to pray Or just be cool. 4 Nothing's clear when you look through fear To see on through Some things dear just disappear And some leave you And the boogie man reaches out his hand To capture a fool Will you run away pretend to pray Or just be cool. Will you run away pretend to pray Or just be cool. Will you run away pretend to pray Or just be cool. Be cool, just be cool, Be cool, be cool.

WILL WE BOUNCE BACK TOMORROW? If you've ever spent some time alone Until you lost your social perspective Then you will no doubt remember How it made your perceptions defective How it made your perceptions defective. How can one return from such unreal ground? Once known can perceptions ever be found, Can they ever be found? Can perceptions be lost and never be found? Are we doomed to sorrow, or will we bounce back tomorrow, Or will we bounce back tomorrow? Can perceptions be lost and never be found? Are we doomed to sorrow, or will we bounce back tomorrow, Or will we bounce back tomorrow? Or will we bounce back tomorrow? Or will we bounce back tomorrow?

Rise Above 03:32
Rise Aove Gary Deatherage 1 Thought life was a bitter pill When I lived in vagrantville Then my ship came in one day Sent me off in a another way And when the going now gets rough I rise above all that stuff. 2 Thought life was a piece of cake The more I did, the more I'd take Big storm sank my ship one day Sent me off in another way And when the going now get rough I rise above all that stuff. 3 Now I drift upon the sea Still got life inside of me Waiting for my time again This cannot be all in vain And when the going now gets rough I rise above all that stuff. 4 Thought life was a bitter pill When I lived in vagrantville Then my ship came in one day Sent me off in another way And when the going now gets rough I rise above all that stuff.

Hearts Are Holow Gary Deatherage 1 When you dive into the water Something there awaits you Will you sink or will you follow Will you think about who? Are there many, is there one Who are those who follow In the past or yet unborn Those whose hearts are hollow Those whose hearts are hollow. And if you ask, you just might die And if you don't you cannot live Without trust there is not love No way to forgive No way to forgive. 2You can gamble, can sacrifice, Throw away some of you Or can be, can act compassion See where that will lead to Are there many, is there one Who are those who follow In the past or yet unborn Those whose hearts are hollow Those whose hearts are hollow. And if you ask, you just might die And if you don't you cannot live Without trust there is not love No way to forgive No way to forgive. No way to forgive No way to forgive.

How Many Days? Gary Deatherage 1 Look for clues in the fading daylight Seek and search in the night, too And if you find it it always feels right If you don't that's alright, too. How many days and how many ways are due you? How will you know in the end what was false, what was true? 2 Move along leave a trail of fire Warm your spirit, your mind, too And if you're lucky you can go higher Up to the point where you find you How many days and how many ways are due you? How will you know in the end what was false, what was true?

Almost Had Perfecrion Gary Deatherage 1 Sometimes I just walk at night But what I seek I can't find Sometimes when the time seems right Light can enter my mind Light can enter my mind. I can see the world, what might have been Almost had perfection without end What we made is such a tragedy Can we fix it, or is this the way we'll be? Can we fix it, or is the the way we'll be? 2 First comes the pale twilight Later still comes the dawn Sun sails across the sky And with it time marches on And with it time marches on. I can see the world, what might have been Almost had perfection without end What we made is such a tragedy Can we fix it, or is this the way we'll be? Can we fix it, or is the the way we'll be?

Social Preening Garr Deatherage 1 We can't live without betraying We can't live without the lie Broken hearts and useless praying Every path's a way to die. To carry on requires intent The tree grows strong the way it's bent To carry on requires intent The tree grows strong the way it's bent. 2 What a journey, what a ride What a way to travel What you cannot hold inside Soon will all unravel. To carry on requires intent The tree grows strong the way it's bent To carry on requires intent The tree grows strong the way it's bent. 3 When you think of what has been Would you want to live it again Or would you choose something that's new And if you did would you still be you? To carry on requires intent The tree grows strong the way it's bent To carry on requires intent The tree grows strong the way it's bent. Here you come and here you go, Can you find the meaning? Was it only looking good, Just some social preening Just some social preening? To carry on requires intent The tree grows strong the way it's bent To carry on requires intent The tree grows strong the way it's bent.

Same Things 04:06
Same Things Gary Deatherage 1 Same things come and go Most things that come by I already know I'm needing something new But when I find it, it starts to Recede into the background, too. Sensations come, perceptions form With everything that I do, A gentle calm, the greatest storm Are things that I have been through Are things that I have been through. 2 I play memories The ones that hide I cannot see The rest forms history The psychic backbone that is me And only builds as energy. Sensations come, perceptions form With everything that I do, A gentle calm, the greatest storm Are things that I have been through Are things that I have been through. 3 Same things come and go Most things that come by I already know I'm needing something new But when I find it, it starts to Recede into the background, too Sensations come, perceptions form With everything that I do, A gentle calm, the greatest storm Are things that I have been through Are things that I have been through.

about

This is II Cosmic's fourth album in this series, though the band has produced more that a dozen albums in total.. All of the songs on this album also appear in Book II of the SUN PIPES FOR THE DREAMERS series and help to continue Ramon's story. And indeed some of it may be heavy mental music. Sorry about that.

about

Gary Deatherage Creston, British Columbia

While my more polished songs usually gravitate to II Cosmic or Howling Wannabes albums, the Deep Dude albums often provide homes for simpler songs, songs that are topical, or ones that are somehow different than usual for me..
